Flow Putt uses real-time EEG from your Muse 2 or Muse S (Athena) headband to detect your optimal mental state for putting — grounded in published neuroscience research.
Put on your Muse 2 or Muse S (Athena) headband and connect via Bluetooth. Four sensors measure your brain's electrical activity in real time.
A 45-second calibration establishes your personal baseline across three phases: eyes open, eyes closed, and relaxed focus.
The app processes your EEG in real time, computing a composite readiness score from five neuroscience-backed components.
When your readiness exceeds your threshold with clean data and physical stillness, the app signals you're in the optimal state to putt.
Your Muse 2 or Muse S (Athena) headband measures electrical activity from four sensors on your scalp. Flow Putt processes this raw signal through a multi-stage pipeline:
From connection to session review, every screen is designed for focus and clarity.

From headband to flow state in four simple steps.
Ensure the sensors sit snugly on your forehead and behind your ears. Check that all four electrode indicators turn green on the connect screen.
Open Flow Putt and tap "Scan for Muse" to find your headband. Tap your device in the list to connect. On the simulator, the app connects to a mock device automatically.
Tap "Start Calibration" to begin the 45-second baseline process. Follow the on-screen prompts through three phases:
Look straight ahead naturally.
Close your eyes and relax.
Visualize a calm putting stroke.
After calibration, your session starts automatically. The circular gauge shows your real-time flow state score. When conditions are met, the app fires a trigger with haptic and/or audio feedback.
Built on published neuroscience research. Five EEG components weighted by their relevance to expert putting performance.
No accounts, no cloud, no tracking. Your brain data never leaves your device. Zero remote data collection.
Works anywhere — on the course, at home, on the range. No internet connection needed, ever.
Haptic and audio triggers fire the instant you reach optimal mental readiness. No delay, no guesswork.
One-time purchase. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no paywalls. Full access to every feature plus free updates forever.
Calibration adapts to your unique brain patterns. Your baseline, your thresholds, your optimal state.
The readiness score is built from five neuroscience-backed components, each weighted by their relevance to expert putting performance.
Higher alpha power over the parietal cortex reflects a calm, efficient brain state by gating task-irrelevant cortical processing (psychomotor efficiency hypothesis). Practice and expertise in golf putting are associated with adaptive changes in alpha oscillations that support improved performance.
Gallicchio et al., 2017; Cooke, 2013
A high ratio of alpha to beta power indicates relaxed focus rather than anxious rumination. This is a standard neurofeedback marker for calm concentration.
Greater left-frontal activation is associated with approach motivation and confidence, predicting committed, decisive execution.
Chen et al., 2019
Optimal frontal theta relative to posterior alpha reflects focused, internalized attention without excessive hesitation or overthinking during motor preparation.
Reduced central/frontal beta power indicates the absence of overthinking and conscious interference. Successful putts are associated with greater beta suppression in the preparation phase.
Carey et al., 2024

Flow Putt ("the App") is developed and published by Logical Appeals, LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles — or, more precisely, does not collect — your information.
Flow Putt is designed as a fully offline application. We do not collect, store, transmit, or process any personal information, usage data, or any other data from you. Specifically:
All data generated during your use of the App — including calibration baselines, session data, readiness scores, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device using local storage. This data never leaves your device. We have no access to it, and it is not backed up to any cloud service by the App. If you delete the App, all locally stored data is permanently removed.
The App uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate with your Muse 2 or Muse S (Athena) headband. This connection is used solely for receiving real-time EEG data from the headband during active sessions. The Bluetooth connection is direct between your device and the headband — no data is relayed to any external server or third party.
Flow Putt operates entirely offline. The App does not require, request, or use an internet connection at any time. No network calls are made by the App.
The App does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or data collection services. There are no third-party SDKs in the App that collect user data.
The App is a one-time purchase. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no additional fees. All features and future updates are included.
Since the App does not collect any data from any user, it does not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (or any applicable age threshold under local law).
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
